The Fundraising Working Group
are looking for
Volunteers
With entrepreneurial, fund raising or similar skills and experience,
and/or a strong desire to contribute to WKSC’s future.
Background
The General Committee has identified the need for a greater focus on fundraising. This will enable us to embark on a number of new and exciting initiatives to improve our clubhouse and sailing facilities, and to provide the best possible experience to our members well into the future.
To this end, a Fundraising Working Group is in the process of being formed.
Requirements
The work of this group will be challenging and we are seeking assistance from members with the requisite skills and or dynamism. This assistance could take the form either of occasional advice and guidance, or more in depth assistance as a member of the working group.
We will be investigating many sources of funding such as grant income, sponsorship, crowdfunding, special events and many others.
Ideally therefore, we would be interested to talk to members who can offer
- Business/Commercial/entrepreneurial skills and experience
- Fundraising/grant application experience
- Access to business networks which may be useful in raising sponsorship
- An interest in continuous improvement of our club facilities and resources to the benefit of yourself, your family and other members over the coming decades.
